Our Goal is to provide high quality school portraits for individuals of all abilities. At our studio, we believe that everyone deserves to have their moment captured in a way that truly reflects their personality and spirit. Our specialized approach ensures that every individual receives the time, care and attention needed to create portraits that not only showcase their physical appearance but also honor their inner strength and individuality.
Because of our background and love of working with individuals with special needs, you can feel confident in the care and attention we will spend making your students feel comfortable and at ease.
FAQs
Will you capture our children smiling?
Although a smile is precious, we truly aim to capture your students as they are. Body movements and natural expressions that are seen at home can be the most beautiful and memorable. We never force a smile, but if we capture a smile or laugh it’s sure to be a natural one.
what background will you use?
We use a plain, non-distracting background (black or dark grey). This allows you to focus on your studen’ts face and not the color or pattern in the background of many traditional school photos.
what to wear?
Avoid Bold Patterns, logos and bright neon or primary colors. Subtle, solid colors let the attention stay on the individual being photographed with no distractions.
Other great clothing options include outfits with some texture or layers. Please contact us with any questions.
what kind of light will you use?
Typically your portraits will be taken with natural light. Natural light is beautiful and not distracting for those sensitive to bright light or flash. We will come to your school before your portrait day and find the best location for your sessions.
That said, if a strobe lighting set up is needed we are fully capable of offering that service.
when can we schedule a school portrait day?
These sessions can be scheduled at your convenience. We work individually with each school to determine the best time for your Fine Art School Portrait Day.
These sessions are available year round if needed.
How long will you spend with each student?
While the goal would be to spend 1-3 min, we are happy to spend a little longer with those who need it. We will openly communicate with each school about the needs of their students.
